Featuredcarolsissom0761 Storms affected my house today- how about you. I had to run into my bathroom with my cat. As the wind was kicking tree limbs into my siding – like Goliath on a rampage – Mr. Whiskers and I dove into the tub and I pulled a pillow on top of us. I waited for my home to collapse from the 85 mph winds. I prayed. My cat said I was in his personal space and he wriggled free – leaving me on my own. As I prayed for my house to be spared, I glanced at the phone, still in my hand ever since I got out of my car l5 minutes earlier; unloading groceries from a routine trip to the store. Out of no where this storm came – it did. The social media post from a friend urgently read: “TAKE SHELTER NOW.” #J4560
